So Jase is starting to pick up "less desirable" words for kids to say--but it sure is pretty funny. Here's what he said to me yesterday.
"Mom! Mom! I gonna turn off the light (just the one in my room)! That'll be stupid!"
"Mom! Mom! I gonna put the lid back on! That'll be stupid!"
I tried not to let him see me laugh. I just said, "Oh ok! That'll be fun!"
Then later as I was driving to hang out with my friends, I put on my Carrie Underwood CD since the radio reception is pretty much static until you get into "town." I listen to the CD pretty frequently. Anyways, I was singing along (of course, car karaoke all the time) and all of a sudden I realized a small voice from the back seat was totally singing along with me!! What?! SO CUTE! He knew tons of words to a few of the songs. He even said, "Mom I like this song!" Adorable. I love it.

sounds like a reuben saying. its about the time to pay attention to what is coming out of your mouth. yve the other day said let's change that cd its crappy. i had to tell her that even though she hears her dad, not me, use that word that it wasn't appropriate at her age to use it but when she is older and wants to use it then she can. i think yve at about 2 and half started saying what the heck!
Sometimes it's so hard not to laugh. Ian has been saying "Oh CRAP!" lately. It could be worse, I guess. The other day we were outside with our neighbor friends and their 4 year old said a full sentence about something I can't remember and used "Damn" as a filler word. His mom took him home with no more play time, but since it wasn't my kid who said it I couldn't help but laugh. Isn't it always even more funny when it's not your own kid? Then you don't have to be the one to follow through with the discipline.
Well, you know my position on this, but I will say that I think it is absolutely adorable that he is singing along with you and even tells you he likes the song! Can't wait to see you soon!
hahaha! i love the use of 'stupid'! how do you not bust up laughing?
and so sweet that he sings along with your songs!
No way, that is so cute. I can just imagine a little Jase groovin in the back seat singing along with his mama.
