Christmas 2009, part II

Santa brought Jase the coolest cardboard house. It's awesome! It has a pitched roof, windows, stars, mailbox, doorbell, etc. Roob and I started coloring on it. Roob drew on shingles and window frames, and I did the mailbox and put his name on it. It was darling. He played in it forever on Christmas morning. And it was a very price efficient gift. My favorite was the warning on the box that said "keep away from fires and open flames." Check. Ha ha.Jase playing in his coolio cardboard house!
One of Roob's most favorite things to eat are the LDS cannery's potato pearls (dried buttery potato bits). You just add water (they are pretty dang good). Anyways, my mom gave Roob a big box of them for Christmas. We all cracked up. Just look how proud he is of them...
Grandma Jenith and Jase warmin' up by the fire.
Jase and Hibbin playing with their toys. They were in toy heaven. And very overstimulated, I might add!

That's the coolest house! Where did you find it? My kids would LOVE a cardboard house!

Also, that's funny about the potato pearls. Tony's parents gave us a box of them for Christmas too. Just to add to our food storage, not because we love them more than life itself! Ha ha!

So you know they always say that no matter how great the present is, the kid will always prefer the cardboard box. I guess you just were smart enough to give the cardboard box as the present.
Smart. By the way, I also want to know where you got it.

Love the cardboard house; you and Reuben did such a great job painting it! LOL at the photo of Reuben with the potato pearls - I didn't even know you took that! And a bit of trivia, if you look close at the fireplace shot, you can see your Christmas card! Hahaha!

Can't wait til little Eggplant Erickson joins us next year! luv mom
