We're Number One!
Well what is this, you ask? It's Jase's super cool new splint. We took him to an orthopedic surgeon about his burn scarring since he can't really straighten out his pointer finger. In an effort to stretch it as much as they can (the scar tissue will still "form" for about 2 more months), he has to wear this every night and about half of the day.
I say it's super cool because it constantly reminds me of one of these: (hahaha)

I had to post this picture because it cracks me up! He was getting SO MAD that I wouldn't let him have the digital camera. FUNNY!
Ok here is a cute pic of him so he can redeem himself from that last one! :) It already seems like the splint has made a difference, too. He uses that finger more AND keeps it a little straighter than he used to. I am HOPING he can avoid surgery all together. But just in case, they scheduled him for hand surgery in May. We'll keep ya posted.

OK that is too cute! major sympathy points he gets! It does look like a #1 sign, too..
I hope it works and that he gets used to it fast. he is such a hambino!
Oh sweet baby. I hate when babies get hurt, but I do love seeing them with casts and how they learn to maneuver with them on. :) Hope he doesn't have to have surgery.
his little red hand totally looks like a foamy, and i love your cake. glad to hear that it is helping
amiee- I love that picture of him going after the camera, and his teeth.. how cute!
Must be time to see you guys again, he already looks like he's grown more.
I had a question though- About his finger... Just not sure if I understand it correctly- Does his finger/hand need help because of the scar tissue/burn stuff, or does he need the splint/help with it- because he kept it closed all the time?
hope that makes sense :)
oh, ya- if we can get pre-approved in the next few months we're going to buy a house.. or we want to..
especially prices are low..so be ready for us :)
You gotta get one of those foam fingers now and really put it on him. Sorry he has to wear it but if it does the trick what can you do. He is getting so big, and it so handsome!
I love the vampire teeth. My nephew Ian's teeth grew in like that. It's really cute.
